LEYTE ON MY MIND

April 29, 2002

i used to go to leyte a lot a few years ago. ormoc in particular because we did the leyte geothermal plant for pnoc. in the early 90’s wala pang ferry from cebu to ormoc, kaya via tacloban ang flight ko from manila. we used to go around the city and visit the leyte landing site of mc arthur. nice place.

i loved the trip from ormoc to tacloban dahil maganda ang kalye at maraming nakikita. when they started the cebu ormoc ferries, it was easier to travel to site via cebu. the trip from ormoc to cebu is just 2 hours, faster and safer by water (if you compare it with the 3 hour trip by car from the tacolban airport to ormoc).

byahero din ako – i did a lot of projects in davao, dumaguete, cebu, leyte, bicol, cagayan de oro and a lot of other nameless places blurred by so many trips to unknown sites… minsan sa sobrang dami ng byahe mo, all the places you go start to look the same…
