THE FROWNS ON THE JUGGLERS AND THE CLOWNS

December 14, 2005

The storms are raging on the rollin’ sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain’t seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn’t do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love

kuha ito sa kanta niyang “make you feel my love“. typical dylan lyrics – simple lang na mga salita pero kung pagsamahin mo ay buntis na buntis sa kahulugan.

Bob Dylan is a wonderful poet. Medyo masakit nga lang sa tenga pakinggan ang boses niya but once you learn how to literally tune him out, the beauty of his words takes over.

Maiba tayo ng konti, Perskasin. I need your help. For some reason, when I changed the number of posts to display on my main page in Blogger both my templates in 87 Gentle Street and Prada Mama were irretrievably damaged. Pinalitan ko lang yung number tapos clicked on Save Settings like I usually do. When I viewed my blogs, na-wipe out na yung lower part ng template code kaya ayaw nang magdisplay correctly. Now only my sidebar is visible in Prada Mama. Please help me when you have the time.

Happy Holidays to you and Jet!

P.S. Na-virus rin yung computer ko so it’s such a hassle to get my e-mail, which is why I’m leaving you this message in your comment box.

  2. Hey Prada Mama Perskasin. Kamusta na riyan sa itaas namin? OO nga, you either love his voice or you hate it because it’s so scruffy. During the early part of his career, most of the record producers actually rejected him because he really didn’t sound nice. It’s the song writing I guess and his passion that saved him.

  3. rolly Says:

Paborito kong Bob Dylan song is the times they are a changin. I used to think that Blowing in the wind was his composition. Tila hindi yata kasi there’s this late singer, Arlo Guthrie, who probably composed it. Tama ba?

He;s an acquired taste, I guess.

more on the story here – http://www.snopes.com/music/songs/blowin.htm

gusto ko rin yung times they are a changin at don’t think twice it’s alright. lately mas dumami, yung masters of war na lumabas sa 2nd LP ni dylan – hanggang ngayon ankop na angkop pa rin dahil sa invasion sa iraq ng mga amerikano.

  5. erisac Says:

Like a Rolling Stone, I think ang pinaka-favorito ko sa lahat ng kanta nya.

Correct me if I were wrong: Si Dylan nag-introduce ng “weed” sa Beatles at siya din nag sabi kay Lennon, “you’re not saying anything in your lyrics.” Sort of awakening for Lennon.

    Good post!

    Eric

  6. Capt. Kupal Says:

like a rolling stone – voted by the rolling stone magazine as the best rock song of all time. i agree. it is a masterpiece.

and yes, it was dylan who introduced grass to the beatles. he was also a main source of inspiration.

  7. ” ‘you’re not saying anything in your lyrics.’ Sort of awakening for Lennon. ”

  9. dylan was a major influence of the beatles. they played his songs over and over and over again when they were touring.

  10. Jet Says:

hahaha!!! Oo nga mylab, hindi nga kagandahan ang boses ni Bob Dylan no, and most of the time he recites the lines of his song like an old world rapper if there was one. Pero grabe ang following niya. People get disturbed with his music. He plays with their minds with the words in his songs.

You’re right, his genius lies in his lyrics.

  11. Engr. Bogus Says:

si dylan nga raw ang pioneer rapper mylab. but he is really a great lyricist.
